Progress in the summer at mom's quilt

I finished the first border for the quilt. Yeahh.

 

I really like the outcome. To applique the leaves and the vine I used Avalon. Avalon is a water-soluble film. I did this for the first time like this. Not bad at all.

So after the border was finished I could not wait to attach those to the quilt.

The picture is not great because the light in the room is not so good.

But I still want to show. 

 

All it needs know is the last border with the half squares. I hope to get that done this week. I'm on the roll.
