The winner of the give away and the finished Quilt "Africa"

I finished the Quilt for my SIL. It was a very quick Quilt :-).
The calabash fabric was so pretty I did not wanted to cut it apart.
So I just cut up a safari panel and pieced some fabric to it and sew'd
it between the calabash fabric. I really like the way it turned out.
Then here are some pictures I took when walking with Lisa.
It was really cold but beautiful because the sun was shining.
I loved how the vines grew around the stem

I wish you could here the birds

Lisa had fun

coming back out of the woods looking down onto the town
And last but not least the winner from my March giveaway.
Not much interest in the book.
With 3 people the random number generator did not have lots to do
                                                                And picked number 1
                                                                Congratulations Irene
Would you send me your snail mail address so I
Can have sent that book to you in no time.

My WIP - Africa

I had that Fabric from Alexander Henry - Calabash -  in my stash for about
2 years.
I did not knew what to do with it, to pretty to cut it into pieces.
Now my SIL's  60th B-day is approaching and she loves anything to do with Africa
and so I pulled the Fabric out and decided to something with it.
I remembered seeing a Quilt with that Fabric being used without being cut up.
I sewn the blocks on the right together and I will use that strip between the calabash fabric.
Here is a pictures how it looks on my wall at the time.

Lots of hugs
Kerstin
