The winner of the give away and the finished Quilt "Africa"

I finished the Quilt for my SIL. It was a very quick Quilt :-).

The calabash fabric was so pretty I did not wanted to cut it apart.

So I just cut up a safari panel and pieced some fabric to it and sew'd

it between the calabash fabric. I really like the way it turned out.

Then here are some pictures I took when walking with Lisa.

It was really cold but beautiful because the sun was shining. 

I loved how the vines grew around the stem

Happy Easter and my Give away for the month of March

The cleaning out of my sewingroom continues.

 

My book shelfs are so stuffed I decided my give away will be a book.

Give away time for February

Unbelievable its already the last day for February and its time for my monthly give away.

I did not get to finish the Quilt. First it was that I had to order some more fabric and than it was lack of time. But I do not need the Quilt until the 25th of March.

But I better get busy. I pieced the top together and I'm working on the border and Im pretty sure I get it done in time.

But now for the February give away.

I decided that the book Quilted Bags and totes should find a new home.

Christmas present and a Giveaway at Daves Blog

Merry Christmas and the 100th blog post

I came on here to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and to let you know that the knot popped.
I have not been on here for some time. I did not have anything to show or tell you.
Every time I went into my sewing room I came back out because I did not had any Idea or energy.
All the work and the time of year kind of left me hanging in the air. Leaving for work in the dark, and coming home from work in the dark kind of drained me. But I had a few days off this week and it did me very good, the knot popped.

I finished a Quilt top. I’m so happy because I thought I would never get back to sewing.

I used scraps and a pattern from Lynn Brown I had for ages.
Just using scraps and not have to think was just what I needed. I thing is will make a nice donation Quilt once it get quilted.
This is a bad picture because my sewing room is so small but I promise to get a better picture as soon as the Quilt is finished.
But as I was writing this I noticed that this is my 100th blog post. It might not sound like much to most of you, but I think it’s a cause to celebrate. Yeahhh.

So I will have a Giveaway for you .

Gee this was my first time ever to win in a Blog Give away.

I feel bad for not posting about it early. My only excuse is the time, it's running through my fingers. I wish I could find the switch to turn the running time off. Lol

Well yesterday when I got home from work there was a package waiting for me. 

 

What a highlight for that day.

It was Cyndis Package.

How much fun to open and find all the goodies Cyndi added on top of the book and the 25$ gift certificate that I had won.

 

You are the greatest Cyndi. Thank you so much!!

 

 

 

Than I did win the fav. Block swap,from a small yahoo group I'm in,

all the blocks made it to Germany.

So here is a picture of all the blocks I received. Aint they all great. 

 

All I need know is time.

The only sewing I got done is my block for the Underground Railroad Sampler

The sailboat .

 

And a small bag for my little steam iron.

 

I got the iron last year and I love it. Its great to take along. But I needed something to put it in, if its still warm. So I lined the inside of the bag with heat resistant fabric. 

 

So, I got nothing else to show or tell. I'm off to the kitchen to fix my self a cup of tea and than I'm going to lay on my couch enjoy my new book.
