During the dare to Dresden Blog hop I seen so many great Quilt blocks and
Quilts done with the Dresden Plate. I never cared for this block in the
Traditional way. But this Blog hop open my eyes to a total different block. Well
and when I was locking around I wanted to try it out.
I found a nice pattern at Erin
Russek's blog and went for it.
I dived into my Scrap boxes and really enjoyed it.
I did not use the English paper piecing method she did. I just used the
machine to piece and I appliqued it the same way I did in the summer at mom's
Quilt.
As for my WIP for February - my friends daughter is turning 20 next month
and I decided it was time for a new Quilt for her.
She just had her room painted in a lime green color. "wow" I thought, its a
bright color but it looks good.
So I went ahead and got some fabric. I decided on HST's.
And here is a picture from the fabric.
So I be off to my sewing room
I hope you all have a great
weekend
Hugs Kerstin
