Eine neue Tasche- a new Bag

So meine Nähmaschine ist wieder zurück von der Reparatur. Zum quilten bin ich noch nicht gekommen, hoffe das ich hier die Woche noch dazukomme. Aber ausprobieren musste ich die Maschine ja schon mal. Also habe ich mal eine Tasche genäht. Funktioniert einwand frei. Die Oberfadenspannung ist besser eingestellt. Vorher war sie so locker das wenn man nicht aufgepasst hatte ruck zuck die Spannung nicht mehr stimmte und man Fadensalat hatte. So dann werde ich noch mal das Bild einstellen und schauen das ich mich spurte um die Hausarbeit fertig zu bekommen. Vieleicht komme ich heute noch zum quilten.

My machine is back from repair. I did not had the chance to quilt jet but I tried sewing. That worked great. I made a bag ( what else, lol ). The machine works great. They fixed the tension wheel which was always to easygoing and sometimes if I did not pay attention it would change to nothing and than the problem began. About the chrome coating on the thread guide, they fixed that too. I will find out when I get to quilting. So I will add a pic from the Bag and than I'm of to do some house chores in the hope to get around to quilting today.

Der Quilt für meinen Bruder

Ja, der Quilt für meinen Bruder ist fertig geworden und auch sehr schön wenn ich das selbst mal so sagen darf.
Aber meine Maschine hat mir fast den letzten Nerv beim Quilten geraubt. Hatte mir doch so ein tolles Valdani Garn für diesen Quilt in Birmingham gekauft. Aber der Faden reißte ständig. Wechselte dann zu Madeira, das war zwar besser aber reißen tat’s auch. Also, Zähne knirschend fertig gequiltet ( hatte ja einen engen Zeitplan. Die Maschine habe ich jetzt erst mal zur Reparatur gebracht. Aufgefallen war mir das sich die Chromschicht von der Fadenführung ablöste vielleicht ist da ja schon der Fehler. Werde berichten was es ergibt. So jetzt noch das Bild vom fertigen Quilt und dann muss ich mich mal an die Hausarbeit machen

The Quilt for my Brother is finished and turned out very nice if I can say so myself.

Still my machine was driving me crazy quilting this Baby. I bought some nice Valdani Thread at the FoQ for this Quilt. But the thread was breaking constantly. So I switched to Madeira thinking my machine didn't like the Valdani thread. Wrong, the Madeira thread broke to not as much as the Valdani still enough to make me crawl up the wall. So I finished the Quilt having a bad time. ( but had to finish since there was that time limit) Took the machine to the shop and hope they can fix the problem. Looking at the machine a little close I could see that the chromium coating is peeling off from the thread guide. May be that could have caused the problem. Lets see what the technician can find out. I will keep you posted. Now real quick the picture from the Quilt and than I have to get some housework done.

Ja, was soll ich sagen " Es war einfach spitze" Ein bisschen viel für 2 Tage aber jetzt weiß man ( Frau) bescheid für nächstes Jahr.
was ganz toll war das ich mich dort mit einigen Leuten aus dem Popular Patchwork Forum treffen konnte (Kate, Caz, Maggie, Jane, Angela und Kim). Besonders mit Kim. Kim kenne ich schon von einem anderen Forum und es war echt toll sie endlich kennen gelernt zu habenund zu tratschen. Sie hatte sogar das Zimmer gegnüber im Hotel. Das war wirklich toll. Abends haben wir uns noch eine Flasche Wein gegönnt und den ganzen Abend getratscht.
Gekauft habe ich natürlich auch. Valdani Garn, Garn überhaupt, 1m Batik Stoff, 1,5m Webstoff für eine Tasche ( wieder eine Tasche, lol ), Lineale und noch diverse andere Sachen. Nächstes Jahr muss ich doch einen Koffer mitnehmen. Das Handgepäck war eindeutig zu klein.

Well, what should I tell you. " It was absolutely stunning" A little to much for just 2 Day's

But I know better now for next year.

What was really great was to meet the Girls from the Popular Patchwork Forum ( Kate, Caz, Maggie, Jane, Angela and Kim ) Especially Kim , since I know her already from a different

Forum and it was great to finally meet her in person. She even had her Hotel room across from mine so in the evening we finished a bottle of wine and had a great talk.

Sure I bought a few things some Threads, Rulers, 1m batik fabric and some other Fabric.

I know I need to bring a bigger suitcase for next year. Hand baggage was just not big enough, lol.
